Student Council

The objective of the Students' Council is to serve as the executive organization of the student body. It acts as a liaison between the student body, faculty and administration; to interpret student opinion; to assist in the orientation week for new students; to recommend to the proper and academic welfare of the college or student body and to co-operate with the Student Development Department. A student must maintain 2.0 GPA throughout the year to serve on this Council.

The miscellaneous fees, paid by students at the beginning of the year, are used by Student Council for events and activities planned throughout the year.

President's welcome

Welcome!

My name is Krysten Lees and I am the student council president for the 2009-2010 school year. I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to the official Master’s College and Seminary website; whether you’re a prospective student, a new student, or a current student I hope you find this website useful and insightful.

When I think of Master’s and the people that make up this great school, I immediately think of the word ‘community’. There’s a sense of community within Master’s and I believe it goes beyond the physical building. The community is made up of faculty, staff and students who genuinely care about one another. When you become part of the Master’s family (or even if you’re just visiting for the day), you are loved and accepted for who you are, and you will be strengthened and encouraged while you’re here.

We’ve been in our new location for almost a year now, and it has proven to be a great move for our school! We now have access to amenities such as a sanctuary, a kitchen, a gymnasium, a wonderful woman named Maria who cooks for the student body (thanks Maria!), and a whole lot more space! Willowdale Church has served our school, and we are incredibly thankful for all they’ve given us.

In September 2009 we are launching our new FIRST YEAR program to all our on campus students. Our theme for this new program is simply, “we picture change”. As a school we’re picturing change as we grow and mature; we’re picturing change in the way we learn and in the way we do ministry. And finally, we’re picturing change in our individual walk with God as we allow our time here at MCS to deepen our relationship with Him. We are picturing change that is necessary and crucial.

As student council, we are looking forward to next year as we’ve begun planning and organizing for upcoming events. Below you’ll find a list of our student council along with their roles and their emails, please feel free to give any of us a shout at any time! We look forward to hearing from you in the upcoming months.
