Student Council

The objective of the Students' Council is to serve as the executive organization of the student body. It acts as a liaison between the student body, faculty and administration; to interpret student opinion; to assist in the orientation week for new students; to recommend to the proper and academic welfare of the college or student body and to co-operate with the Student Development Department. A student must maintain 2.50 GPA throughout the year to serve on this Council.

The miscellaneous fees, paid by students at the beginning of the year, are used by Student Council for events and activities planned throughout the year.

President's welcome

Hello,

My name is Chris Carroll and I am the Student Council President for the new school year. Welcome to the Student Council portion of our website! In sitting down to write this welcome I have found myself stumped with where to start. There are so many things I personally am excited about when it comes to this school and the students that make this place an amazing place to attend! Perhaps the best place to start is where I start every time I am given an opportunity to talk about the school; I always emphasize that MCS is relational! Anyone who has attended would agree with this statement. The environment of learning combined with the experience and patience of the staff and faculty allows students like myself, to learn and grow academically, personally and experientially.

With this in mind, Student Council has felt that God has laid on our hearts a desire to express worship by using this great community environment. By having student involved in the community, the local church and the college we are expressing our worship in action. That’s the heart of this school both the students that attend and the faculty and staff that lead it. With this passion and plan in front of us, and God guiding and directing our paths we look forward, excitedly to see what adventures, challenges, opportunities and growth awaits us as God teaches us what it means to worship!

Please continue to pray for the students and staff/faculty of this school. We desire and appreciate your prayers so much! We would also encourage you to keep tabs on the school. Check the website, view the calendar and read the newsletters that we put out. It is a great way to see the transformation that is taking place in the students and staff at this school! Master’s really is worship in action! Enjoy,

Christopher Carroll
Student Council President 2011-2012
